The benefits and housing team from East Devon District Council will be coming along to the Dunkeswell coffee morning, hosted by the Blackdown Support Group, on Wednesday 27th November.
They are hoping to raise awareness about the deadline for applying for backdated pension credit which is the 21st December 2024. If people successfully apply before the 21st December it means they also get the winter fuel allowance which as you know has been withdrawn for most people this year. If they miss that date they can still apply for pension credit but they won’t get the winter fuel allowance.
